Doyle Homes Wins Two GOHBA Design Awards
Doyle Homes is proud to announce that on Saturday, October 13th Doyle Homes won two design awards at the 29th Annual Housing Design Awards Gala.
First award: Large builder attached 1,801 sq. ft. or more
Cope Residence
This 2320 square foot West Coast style town home is nestled along the banks of the Carp River. It has a rustic exterior with contemporary touches, using Permicon stone contrasted with textured stucco, coloured window frames, hand split shakes, and wood detailing.
Once inside there is a distinct transition to Modern Styling and clean lines. The styling is most evident in the kitchen area with its quartz countertops, dark stained cabinetry and contrasting use of glass tile backsplash and stainless steel detailing.
The open concept dinning room and living room are separated by an elongated 2 sided fireplace with a matte black trim. All bathrooms continue this theme with the use of glass tile, quartz countertops and rectangular vessel sinks. In addition the ensuite bathroom includes a personalized 15 square foot shower with rain spray and adjustable heads in a 1/2 glass and tiled wall enclosure with hidden accessory nook.
The highlighting feature of this design is the third floor media loft with 720 square feet of entertainment space including a built in wet bar, wine cooler area, and a panoramic view of the Carp River. In addition, this space comes with built in speakers, a wall mounted TV, and a lounge area boasting a semi-shag carpeting. This beautiful home has numerous other amenities typically only found in higher end singles such as, dozens of pot lights, flat ceilings throughout, 5 inch baseboards and 3 1/2 inch mouldings.

Riverview Towns
Riverview towns consists of seven beautiful homes located on the majestic Carp River in the beautiful village of Carp. The towns have a west coast style exterior with rustic features and a contemporary edge. The overall massing of this building was created to give a unified elevation to the street scape, while maintaining individuality for each unit through the use of varied materials. The combination and mix of Permicon stone with textured stucco, hand split shakes and barn beam detailing were used to fit the neighbouring environment. The end unites were treated to spacious wrap around porches to reflect the surrounding village architecture. Site plan development was given consideration to providing enhanced amenities such as, longer than typical drive ways, well maintaining spacious rear yards. Two of the unites designed with 3rd story loft spaces to further take advantage of the seasonal views of the Carp River.
