Christie Lake Kids President of Board of Directors Gives Thanks

As President of the Board of Directors for Christie Lake Kids, I quite frequently am asked to meet with prospective new Board members.  When I first met Trevor for breakfast, he had recently toured the neighborhoods where we run our STAR program or our inner city work.  He was committed to address this head on and wanted to do what he could to turn this around for the kids living in these neighborhoods.  He joined the Board and we have enjoyed his candor and professional/business viewpoint to what and how we do things at CLK.

Since that time, I have witnessed firsthand, his dedication to our kids and our mission.  His commitment goes far beyond attending Board meetings: He has donated time, energy, friends and much needed financial resources to help us get the job done.  Trevor initiated the first annual golf event for CLK this past year and the outcome in its first year was far beyond any of our expectations.  His response, “next year and the years after, it will be bigger and better.”

Building homes is his business, but clearly, building communities, healthy communities, is his passion.  It is obvious in his outpouring of generosity and support.   We are grateful to have Trevor not only on our Board but in our City.  Thank you Trevor and thank you Doyle Homes.
